Dates 21 -22 May

About Manolis Zografakis

Manolis is a certified sound therapist, a Vipassana meditation practitioner and a passionate musician. His involvement and love for music started at the early age of 12 with classical guitar lessons. Since then his musical journey has gone through many stages, as an electronic music producer under the nickname MAMA, releasing in 2008 his personal debut album ‘Blue’ on The Sound of Everything Records, as a radio producer and also as a DJ. In 2007 he first came in contact with meditation and since then it has been an integral part of his daily life. Manolis’ first contact with the sound of the Tibetan singing bowls and the gong was in 2015 when he attended a sound journey of the therapist and later mentor and colleague Eléna Sofia Melnishca. He immediately fell in love with the sound of the singing bowls. Thanks to his musical background, a move into meditative music and sound healing was inevitable. From 2016 till 2019 he practised sound healing under Eléna Sofia’s guidance. In 2019 he decided to make a five-month spiritual trip to Southeast Asia.

In Kathmandu, Nepal, he learned to use Tibetan singing bowls and other sacred instruments for healing and well-being under the guidance of Master Shree Krishna Shahi (3rd generation Tibetan Singing Bowl and Sound Healer). Manolis has taken part in 10-day Vipassana meditation seminars in Kathmandu and Yangon, Myanmar. Since 2017 he has delivered group sound baths and one-on-one sound therapy in Germany, Greece and Nepal.

Currently based in Chania, Crete, Manolis offers group and private sound healing sessions, as well as Tibetan sound massage, during which he provides treatment for relaxation, chakra balancing, as well as stress relief, insomnia, pain and more.

About the Event

It is a gentle, yet powerful, deeply-immersive, meditative, full-body listening experience where you are “bathed” in therapeutic sound waves by various healing instruments including the Tibetan singing bowls and crystal bowls, the gong, the drum, the monochord, energy chimes, and voice.

Sound baths and gong baths are ideal and beneficial for both beginning meditators as well as experienced meditators. A sound bath can be a great entry point for non-meditators to enter deep states of consciousness as it doesn’t require a lot of discipline or patience to learn how to do it — all you have to do is relax, be open and listen.  ( Two sound baths (one on Saturday evening and one on Sunday morning )  but also some limited private sessions for individuals and/or couples upon request).
